Itching for a new venture?
- No, 'your own thing' does not have to be 'your start-up' , it could be building something within another structure
- No, It’s not too late, you can always change paths. Many have.
- No it’s not easy, but it’s worth it. And, more importantly, you don’t have to do it alone
- No, you’re not going to die of hunger under some bridge! So you don’t need to let the fear of a change in income hold you back.
- No it’s not some BS ‘log-in-by-the-beach-and-count-the-cash-whilst-sipping-on-cocktails’ (it could be but it’s rare!) it’s also not ‘make a mill in 2 months’ (it could be but I haven’t seen it yet)
- No, you don't need an idea to start this process: its iterative
- Yes, your 'own thing' can be an entrepreneurial role within an existing structure
- Yes: you have (more than) what it takes to start a business
- Yes: you can work it out financially
- Yes, everyone has their own pace, tempo, journey, but sometimes, transformation happens in one insight
- Yes, it’s easier when you have the right support and you surround yourself with like-minded individuals
- Yes, it takes time, sometimes even years. But the years go by anyway...so the question is, how do you want to commit your time?
- Yes, you can prepare your shift in the background and minimise the risk
If you’re itching for a venture. Please don’t rob yourself of the opportunity to try. I compiled a series of case studies, for you to see first hand that you can build your own path, can leap and survive, even thrive!
Where are you in the leap?

PRE-LEAP
You built a solid career in your chosen industry and are regarded as an accomplished professional.
The work is challenging but you’re good at it and you’re compensated accordingly.
Still, you’ve been considering moving on – perhaps you’ve been thinking about other projects but the pull of your career is strong and you’re not sure where to start .

LEAPING
You have left your corporate job and decided to pursue your business venture. You made the hard decision – bravo!
Now there’s just…everything else to sort out. And the worries aren’t exactly gone.
You are changing your identity and entering an unfamiliar world, and you aren’t confident (yet).
The questions are piling up, the size of the task is growing, and you want some help to make a smooth landing.

LANDING
You’re a business owner or heading a business unit. You’ve figured a lot of it out, the business is thriving and your thinking is starting to move to strategy, but there’s a lot on your mind.
It would be great to bounce ideas off someone else. Especially now that you know the scale of the task before you; hiring, marketing, accounts, long and short-term plans – it’s a challenge to manage it all.
A “thinking partner” would help you gain clarity and enhance the quality of your decision making.

About Me
My name is Lina, I am the founder of Two Degree Shift. I worked in Equities for a few years in a top tiers investment bank and had the privilege to learn from amazing and intelligent people. I left Banking two years ago and decide to do my own thing. And it is my mission and my privilege to support you do the same.
In two years, I have tried, paid for, read through, dozens of programs, hundreds of books, made countless mistakes and I want to bring all of this combined my business background and my coaching training to you.

What's holding you back?
When you’re considering a change, what typically happens is that a bunch of unanswered questions hinder your ability to decide. It’s normal. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
Below are examples of the most inertia-inducing questions I have heard:
- Where do I start?
- What if it’s a mistake?
- I spent so much time and energy on this, how can I change direction now?
- How will this impact my financial situation?
Naturally, you’ll also enhance the outcomes you get (even the ones you did not want or expect!) . This is because with a robust decision-making process, each outcome is valuable data that you can use in the next iteration.
Over time, this brings about a sense of possibility rather than worry or analysis paralysis.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying this is easy. I’m saying that it’s worth it, and more importantly: that you don’t have to do it alone.
Below is a quote I try to live by, and if this is your only take away from this page, it is still a win for me:
“Do not make the assumption that indecision has no cost”

A competent coach designs a space for you to find your own answers. This notion of ownership is far from trivial. It is absolutely key in building confidence in your decision making process, and creating the results that are the closest to what you need.
